Listed as an ancient monument and located between Bayeux and Isigny sur Mer, close to the Normandy Landing Beaches, the Château de Colombières is one of the most outstanding feudal fortresses of Lower Normandy

As a visitor or a guest in one of its rooms, you will be enthralled by this chateau and its role in a thousand years of history in the Normandy Bessin area.

The moat, towers and walls of this “impregnable fortress” are a remarkable record of medieval history, and bear witness to the longevity of Colombières over the past millennium. A central point of World War II military operations, this great monument was spared during the Allied Forces Landing on June 6, 1944 and played a major part in restoring peace to the area.
